I first heard Robert Krausz speak when he was the luncheon guest speaker for the Dow Jones Telerate (TAG XVI) conference back in 1994. I remember how emphatic he was as he stressed that successful traders have mechanical trading plans, and that to become a profitable trader, you had to develop fixed trading rules and then do what he referred to as a backtrack over your market of choice. With both hands gripping the podium, as if he were trying to shake some sense into the audience, Krausz spelled out that if you followed his advice, then two very important things should happen.
