CompuTrac is a stocks and commodities trading analysis package that, among other things,
— gives the purchaser phone access to daily market data
— includes a variety of trading "studies" software (such as moving average, stochastic, point & figure),
— offers a variety of analysis tools to help analyze and organize data, and
— creates charts to illustrate analyzed data.
Although this program does not guarantee success, it has done more to put consistency in my trading than any other single factor. I believe any one study that a trader can dream up will work on the average about fifty to sixty percent of the time. It is, therefore, important to find your trading personality and risk-bearing ability, and then to put together a group of trading studies that collectively can become a profitable trading partner for you, both monetarily and psychologically.
