Product Review: VisualTrader by David Penn

While there has been a great deal of wellfounded “gee whiz!” attention paid to Nirvana Systems’ eye-popping VisualTrader trading software, it is worth considering that, in many ways, the three-dimensional approach being championed by Nirvana Systems in its VisualTrader product is simply part of the decades-long evolution in patternbased technical analysis — from tapereading to Japanese candlesticks. After all, there is nothing really in a candlestick that is not in a bar — but that information is delivered more clearly and definitively. In a nutshell, this is what VisualTrader sets out to accomplish by providing tools to make reading and understanding market behavior more straightforward, intuitive, and actionable.
