Joseph Cotton has enjoyed a long career in the financial and real estate fields. A background in finance gives him an interest in incorporating fundamental analysis of companies in his work, and his long experience in charting, tape reading, and technical analysis has enabled him to have a career as a professional market technician. Early on, he became proficient in using charts to help him manage his own investments. When trading and charting software later became available, he became proficient at technical analysis. Along the way he has been a professional credit manager, finance manager, real estate broker, and market letter publisher. He first published his “Cotton’s Technically Speaking” newsletter in 1986. The newsletter provides a weekly market assessment and several weekly stock picks, displaying charts for each pick. He has won or placed in several stock-picking contests.
