I saw Markos Katsanos’ article in the December 2014 S&C (“Detecting Flags In Intraday Charts”) and it prompted me to dig out an old stocks & commodities magazine with an article by Katsanos on flags and pennants (“Measuring Flags And Pennants”). At the time it was published in April 2005, I found it very interesting but didn’t have MetaStock so couldn’t implement it. I was curious as to what kind of success the author has had with the flag system since that article was published?

Thank you for your interest in my article. I have since improved the daily flag system that I initially wrote about nearly 10 years ago in this magazine, and I have been using it with success.
