DO YOU SMELL THAT?
When I first started taking the bus from Newark, NJ into Lower Manhattan on weekday mornings, the best thing to do was put on a set of Sony Walkman headphones to clear my head for the trading day to come. For me, clearing my head consisted of listening to grunge music, most notably, the Stone Temple Pilots, Oasis, and Nirvana. When I sat down to write this month’s column, the title I had penned brought me back to those bus rides and listening to Nirvana’s well-known song “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” But what I am discussing today isn’t the smell of Teen Spirit; it’s the smell of natural gas, and more important, the opportunities surrounding this ever-increasing resource that’s located right here in the good old USA.
