Todd Gordon is the founder of TradingAnalysis.com, which provides actionable market analysis and trading strategies in the currency, commodity, and equity markets for amateur and professional traders. In 2001, Gordon began his career trading the equities market in San Diego, CA, and then with Connors Capital, a hedge fund based in Los Angeles. Most recently, Gordon served as a managing partner for two and a half years at a trading and research company specializing in the foreign exchange markets. Prior to that, he served as the senior technical strategist at FOREX.com for six years while simultaneously trading at GAIN Capital Asset Management, its parent company.

Todd, how did you get interested in technical analysis and trading?
In college, I picked up a copy of Alexander Elder’s book Trading For A Living. I was an economics major in college, and I was more interested in trading the markets than going to economics class. So I would trade from my dorm room in my small e*Trade account with a couple thousand dollars. In college, you don’t have a lot of money.
