Itís All Geometry!
An Alternative Methodology by Scott Hathaway
Geometric technical analysis is something that technical analysts have been slow to embrace. Hereís a look at how it can be effectively applied to your trading. Who knows; you may find it worthy of consideration.
Geometric charting is one of the most effective charting approaches available to any technical analyst or trader. It is capable of accurately identifying highs and lows by revealing hidden support & resistance (S/R) levels and time extensions, channels, circles, and other shapes, and yet still has considerable room for development.
But despite these merits, sadly, it has always been on the outskirts of traditional technical analysis. This is probably due to its often improvised, creative, and right-brained nature; one thatís not easily subjected to rigorous backtesting. However, it is my sincere desire to see geometric charting gain prominence as the publicís interest in technical analysis continues to grow.
