Stocks & Commodities V. 25:10 (62-63): Product Review: TradesStation 8.3 by Jayanthi Gopalakrishnan
Product Description
Product Review: TradesStation 8.3 by Jayanthi Gopalakrishnan
Last issue I introduced you to
some of the features available
in the newest version
of the TradeStation trading
platform. Since then I have examined some others, such as foreign
exchange trading and applying trading
strategies to your tradables. The forex
trading is a recent addition, giving
TradeStation’s forex trading clients the
ability to automate trading strategies
based on interbank spreads. That’s an
unusual thing for a broker to provide,
since the usual scenario for a forex
broker is to base trades on bid/ask
spreads that are wider than the spread
quoted by the banks. So TradeStation is
offering their customers tighter spreads.
Another aspect of the recent forex
addition is that you can set your base
currency. This means that all quotes,
stop-losses, profit targets, and so forth
will be displayed or defined in the currency
you fund your account with.
