V.16:14 (686-688): Product Review: TeleChart 2000, version 4.0 for Windows by John Sweeney
Product Description
TeleChart 2000, Version 4.0 For Windows (Worden Brothers, Inc.). Data service covering 9,778 stocks with fundamentals, plus charting and scanning software and free historical data from 1984. by John Sweeney
TeleChart was first developed
as a data service but has
become an example of
charting and scanning software
of some note. TC2000
also comes with a good scanning package,
symbol list management and a personal
journal capability that’s quite
unique. Though the data service is paramount,
astute users getting the intraday
updates can turn TeleChart 2000 into
something approaching a full trading
support package.
DATA
At the heart of TeleChart 2000’s handiness
is the data update feature. With
TeleChart 2000, you get your entire database
updated every time you check in.
Data costs just over $1 per updated day, no
matter how many times you call in, and
some users downloaded every 15 minutes!
The program keeps, roughly, the last
14 years of data (since 1984) on a combination of the CD (which should be mounted
at all times) and your hard drive.
