IMPLEMENTING FASTTRACK
The program I use is Investors FastTrack (DOS version). To set up the required three screens to view the proposed OR technique, type P, then TTAA2, and hit Enter. The TT screen displays the fund (F) and the index (I). In sidebar Figure 1, the top T red curve is the underlying fund, with the BH ANN of 16.2%. To display the mutual fund, DFSCX, use the F key, then type DFSCX. In order to rank DFSCX daily, it needs to be compared to a threshold; -1.0% annually (-0.004%/day) works well, and is implemented by using the I key and typing -1%. The index fund is represented on the chart by the nearly flat green line.
