I f you have a portfolio of stocks and mutual funds, you've probably wondered if you should adjust the balance to attempt to meet an investment goal. Asset Allocator (AA) is a product that helps you run your portfolio efficiently by selecting combinations of assets to minimize portfolio variance and maximize returns.

With Asset Allocator, you can specify that a particular asset - say, the stock you got from your grandmother - must be in the portfolio, and you can even assign it a minimum percentage. AA will work around that specification to compute the most efficient allocation for the rest of your portfolio.
