Each trading platform uses its own specific programming language that can take time to learn. A program or “code” is composed of a list of instructions that must be in an exact format. Each horizontal line of code gives the computer a different command and is referred to as a statement. Statements form the building blocks of a computer program and commonly end with a semicolon. Here is a list of the components that can be found in the program statements, along with some basic examples. Keep in mind that these examples are written in EasyLanguage and will be slightly different for other trading platforms.
