PRODUCT REVIEW: TC2000 Version 12.2 Update by Bruce R. Faber
IN my January 2012 review of TC2000 12, I stated, “What is available as I write this is less than what will be available when you finally read it because user suggestions are constantly being adopted.” This turned out to be more accurate than I could have imagined. And I am certain that the idea will continue to be true, as the improvements are added as a continuing process. Because these new features can be immediately programmed into the Worden computers, it is a relatively speedy process from concept to program capability for the end users.
TC2000 v12 is Worden Brothers’ cloud-based charting program. Your computer needs to run Microsoft Silverlight to run v12. Program calculations are taking place on Worden Brothers’ computers so even non–state of the art computers have very fast results. Platinum (real-time) users pay an extra $9.25 per month for the up-to-the-millisecond data. The Gold (end-of-day) users get their real-time data from the BATS exchange (www.batstrading.com) at no extra cost, but it can be delayed up to 15 minutes.
The first thing that should be mentioned is the cost of the alerts available to the program users. This affects your wallet — in a good way. In the January review, I stated that the alert monitoring service allows you to set your own condition for the alert, and then sends you an email as well as audio and visual alerts.
