Charting and analysis program with spreadsheet facility. by John Sweeney The programmers behind SmarTrader are some of the longest-lived technical programmers in the business. These are the same ones who put together the original CompuTrac package and its real-time spreadsheet version, SNAP. (CompuTrac was one of the first commercially available technical analysis programs.) Of course, the organization CompuTrac was long ago sold to Dow Jones and then to Bridge, and is not much more than a memory now. However, the CompuTrac developmental team went on to continue to build the software and add new features. Now established as an Internet software developer, Stratagem Software continues to tweak CompuTrac SNAP, now called SmarTrader, and I resolved to see what had become of it. |
